Linocuts
The Lino-cuts are hand-printed on artist quality paper, with artist quality block ink. Some are wood cuts as indicated.

The images generally derive from existing drawings in pastel or gouache. In the process of tracing these, transferring the tracing onto a block, and carving the negative space out, the original images are developed by interpretation: from color and shade to black and white, as by the carving process itself.
​
I enjoy doing these as they allow me to continue exploring ideas found in the original drawings.
