Wednesday morning: Oil Painting

Thursday Morning: lino cut printmaking

Oil Painting - from beginners to advanced.  

​

Start exploring how to get the paints to behave. You will be introduced to making a basic medium to manage the flow with oil paint. Explore colour mixing, from primaries to secondaries to tertiaries. Colour theory is used to compose paintings of your own constructions using art elements and observed information, figurative or abstract.   Health and Safety will of course be covered as we go, and you will compose exciting paintings that makes your work stand apart! 

 

Print Making - Lino Cuts

Starting with basic black and white lino cutting, some drawing or design skills would be an advantage. You will learn to print your images by hand and press. As skills advance you can explore printing in colour using multiple plates.

All materials provided by the students, pleas enquire for times, a list of material and costs.

Classes can accommodate a variety of art media and projects in each class.
