'The Gorge #10' is one of 16 paintings from the Cataract Gorge residency in Launceston. It was began on site at the Cataract Gorge and completed in the month after the residency in the Bright studio, in 2015. The work is about structure, composition and colour as much as reflecting upon the local environment and mankind's impact on that environment. I was fascinated by the Tamar River's 3 m tidal changes, hiding and then revealing the structure in the rock face of Cataract Gorge.
